1) Is it too late to book your services?

A – It is never too late! We have been catering for over 15 years and we have learned to expect the unexpected! In fact we will bend over backwards to help you out of a squeeze. This weekend? – No Problem!

2) When do I confirm function details? (“ I don’t know how many guests are coming?”)

A – Generally speaking we do ask our customers to ring and confirm their details 7 – 10 days prior to their big day.
Questions we ask include:
• Menu Selections
• Time of Serving
• Number of guests
• Number of children
• Address of function

3) When should I book ?

A – Customer can book up to 12 months in advance, but the average is about 4 – 6 weeks. Bookings are limited especially during peak periods. Once you have decided that the function is definitely going ahead and we are your chosen caterers we strongly recommend calling us and booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Remember we don’t need final details until 7 to 10 days out form the big day. We ask for a $100 deposit to secure your booking. This is fully refundable up to 7 days prior to your function should anything change.

4) What happens if the function is cancelled?

A – We ask for a $100 deposit to secure your booking. This is fully refundable up to 10 days prior to your function. Once you have confirmed your function with us(10 days prior) the invoice is fully payable. Numbers can go up at any time after confirmation but cannot go down once the invoice has been created. If for any reason the function is cancelled inside that 7 day period, the invoice is fully payable. (We can deliver the food to any organisation of your choice)

5) How many staff will I need?

A – Our staff are there to make the day flow and be as stress-free as possible. They come with absolutely everything, from the platters and right through to the garbage bags! Note: Buffet Table / Cloth are not included.
We recommend 1 Staff Member between 50 guests as a minimum. The higher number of staff the higher the level of service. Wedding’s and Formal Occasions do require more staff than a standard Birthday Party. Ask our Sales Manager to help you with this!

6) What happens on the day?

A – If we have the food cooked in our kitchen, we will turn up 1 to 1.5 hours prior to the function’s main service time. If you have hired a Spit from Crown Catering we will turn up 2 to 2.5 hours prior to your main service time.
When food is cooked off-site in our kitchen the staff will be on site for a 3 hour period. Staff must have ½ and hour paid travelling time each way.
When the food is cooked on-site with our Spit, the staff member will need to onsite for a 4 hour period.
Our trained chefs will:
• Prepare
• Present
• Serve
• Clean Up
• Collect rubbish and plates
These few points are the key to an excellent, stress free function. Which allows you more time to enjoy with family and friends!

7) Where do you cater?

A From Wollongong to Newcastle, from Bondi to Katoomba!
We find ourselves in all sorts of environments. We regularly cater on boats, islands, building construction sites, parks and gardens, beaches, homes and community halls, backyards, under marquees, garages, hospitals and nursing homes, churches, offices and sporting grounds to list a few!

8) Do you cater for Vegetarians?

A – WE SURE DO! We have a variety of tasty and delicious vegetarian options that can be built into your catering package on request. The most popular options is our vegetarian Lasagne. Vegetarians will also love the variety is our salad selection!

9) Will there be enough food?

A – The number 1 question asked! Unless a bus load of guests turn up unannounced, we guarantee plenty of food for everyone. Even for those big eaters out there! I came from a family who loves large portions of food. I would be disowned if I did not follow the tradition. We supply families and groups with very large appetisers all over Sydney on a regular basis. You will NOT run out of food. 100% Guaranteed.

10) How many people do you cater for?

A- Most of our menus are designed for functions with between 30 and 500 guests. We do however have packages for small numbers of people and any menu can be tailored to suit your requirements. The most number of people we have catered for is 7500 ( Jetstar ) . We regularly cater for groups ranging in size from 30 to 1000 guests.

11) What if the numbers change?

A- No problem – Please confirm the number of guests 7 to 10 days prior to your function. Once confirmed please let us know if numbers rise. ( 24 hours notice is required)

12) How much do you charge for children

A- Children between 5 and 10 are half price. Children under 5 are charged $1.00 only. All prices include GST.

13) How do I pay?

A- Most methods accepted including cheque, cash, internet transfer, credit card over the phone, ( 3% surcharge for credit cards, 5% surcharge for AMEX and Diners Card.) We do require payment at least 24 hours before your function unless by prior arrangement.
